Nadal Academy Lands Stateside: The King of Clay is Coming for US Padel

The Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by Playtomic is officially expanding to the United States for its 2026 circuit. After two successful seasons in Spain and a recent launch in Italy, the amateur tour is crossing the Atlantic to host four major events in key American markets.

The U.S. calendar kicks off this spring with a high-profile lineup of venues:

Miami (March 13–15): The tour begins at the Padel X club.

Austin (April 24–26): Round two lands at Padel 39.

Miami (May 8–10): A second stop in the Magic City at Ultra Padel Miami.

New York City: The American leg concludes at Reserve New York in the heart of Manhattan.

To fuel this expansion, the Academy is leaning on the technological muscle of Playtomic, the world’s largest racket sport community app, and Babolat, which will provide high-end gear and racquets for participants and winners.

Rafa Academy Context: Since opening in Manacor, Mallorca (a Spanish Island), in 2016, the Rafa Nadal Academy has become a global gold standard for athletic development. While it was founded on Rafa’s legendary tennis methodology, the Academy has made a massive commitment to padel, featuring state-of-the-art facilities with 10 indoor and 9 outdoor courts. The Academy’s goal with this tour is to combine high-level competition with the "Nadal values" of effort, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Primetime Take: Why This is a Massive "W" for the US

This isn't just another amateur tournament; it’s a branding earthquake. When the name Nadal attaches itself to a U.S. padel circuit, it provides instant mainstream credibility to a sport that is still introducing itself to the American public.

By choosing Miami, Austin, and Manhattan, the tour is targeting the most influential padel hubs in the country. Bringing the "Nadal methodology" to amateur players in these cities will raise the floor of talent across the board. This move signals that the heavy hitters in global sports now view the United States as a "key market" for the future of padel. If you've been waiting for a reason to transition from your local club ladder to a national-level stage, this is it.
