Diving deep with the founder/CEO of Conquer Padel on their next conquest

Conquer Padel Charges into Silicon Slopes with Lehi Signature Club and Bold Expansion Plans
Hey Padel Fam,
If you've been keeping your eye on the exploding U.S. padel scene, you're in for a treat. In this Primetime Exclusive, we're diving deep into Conquer Padel's latest power move: submitting permitting applications for a game-changing signature club in Lehi, Utah. Fresh off their Tempe flagship success, the team is blending premium courts with wellness vibes to turn Silicon Slopes into the next padel hotspot. We've got the full scoop from their press release, plus an exclusive Q&A with Co-Founder and CEO Enrique Gracia. Let's break it down!

Lehi: Where Tech Meets Padel Paradise
Conquer Padel just dropped the news that they've locked in a 10-year lease on a massive 30,000-square-foot property in Lehi, Utah, and submitted those all-important permitting apps. Slated to open in Q1 2026, this isn't your average court setup—think seven state-of-the-art padel courts with soaring 30-foot ceilings, plus a lineup of wellness perks like saunas, cold plunges, a Pilates zone, recovery areas, and cozy lounges for post-game hangs.
Why Lehi? It's smack in the heart of Silicon Slopes, Utah's tech boomtown, surrounded by heavy hitters like Adobe and Microsoft. The area's got a 5-mile radius population of 215,000, with an average household income of $148,000 and a median age of 27.1—prime territory for padel's mix of social vibes, fitness, and networking. As Enrique Gracia puts it, "This is a dream property for a padel club. Silicon Slopes' vibrant tech ecosystem and family-oriented culture align perfectly with padel's social, networking appeal—often called the 'new golf.' We're excited to bring this premium sport and wellness club to an area with such explosive growth and potential for indoor racquet sports."

Utah County already leads the nation in pickleball participation per capita, so the demand for racket sports is red-hot. This club is poised to become the go-to for after-work mixers, corporate events, and community events, blending sweat sessions with serious socializing.
Fueling the Fire: Capital Raise and Franchise Frenzy
This Lehi launch is part of Conquer Padel's bigger playbook, backed by their Conquer Capital Fund. They're raising $1.8 million for the project, with $1.1 million already in the bag (minimum investment: $50,000). The goal? Scale to seven signature clubs while turbocharging growth through franchising.
Hot on the heels of their Tempe, Arizona flagship opening last month—which has been a total community smash—Conquer Padel has awarded their first U.S. franchises. The Baker family, industry pros, are set to roll out 50 locations starting in the Northeast. Meanwhile, M. Sands is bringing the heat to Florida with spots in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa.
Tom Konkowski, COO of Conquer Padel Holdings and Conquer Franchise Group, nails it: "This symbiosis between our signature clubs and franchising is key. We're extremely selective about locations and markets to ensure every club is successful, creating a network where investors benefit from the expanding ecosystem."
Exclusive Q&A with Enrique Gracia: Heart, Hustle, and the Padel Dream
We caught up with Enrique for some real talk on what’s driving Conquer Padel’s momentum. Here's the unfiltered convo:

Primetime: Enrique, the Lehi club sounds like a padel paradise with its seven courts and wellness perks—how do you see this spot becoming the heartbeat of Silicon Slopes’ social scene?
Enrique: Utah County ranks #1 nationwide in pickleball participation per capita, which proves the demand for social racket sports in the area. This club will absolutely be a go-to spot for after-work networking, corporate events and community gatherings.
Primetime: With $1.1 million already raised for the Lehi project and big franchise plans in the works, what’s the wildest dream you have for Conquer Padel’s nationwide takeover by 2026?
Enrique: My dream is simpler: building one amazing club at a time. Building relationships while staying active is one of the aspects I love most about padel, and when you love something, you want to share it with as many people as possible. I do not see us as taking over anything but as contributing to the improvement of millions of people's lives through this sport that I love.

Primetime: The Tempe flagship’s community love fest is contagious—what’s the secret sauce you’re planning to sprinkle on Lehi to keep the paddle passion growing?
Enrique: Our secret sauce is our team. That's it. The aggregated experience of all of us in the Conquer Padel team, our diverse yet complementary backgrounds in tennis, pickleball, business, finance, and padel—both in club operations and as passionate players—is where our club and community-building strategies come from. Each location will bring new lessons and require changes and adaptations, but our team's aggregated experience, our shared values and mission will always be at the core.
Primetime: What sparked your love for padel, and how did your Mexican roots and global expertise shape the bold vision for Conquer Padel?
Enrique: My love for padel started back in 2020 when I was living in Mexico and tried it for the first time. It sounds corny, but it was love at first swing. I had tried racquetball shortly before but was not able to play due to knee pain after a meniscus injury. I was able to play padel with no knee pain at all. Then the way it mixes fun, strategy and the community around it just hooked me right away; it's all about connecting with people while getting a good workout, and that felt special.
Although padel originated in Mexico back in 1969, it arrived for the first time in my city in 2020, and I saw the sport go from 0 to over 100 courts in just 3 years and is now part of the culture there. My background in international business taught me how to blend ideas from different places, like the global padel passion with the U.S. pickleball scene, to create Conquer Padel. It's just about sharing something I truly enjoy and helping others discover it.
Primetime: From founding Conquer Padel to seeing it explode onto the U.S. scene, what’s been the most unexpected win that’s kept you swinging strong?

Enrique: The most unexpected win has been the incredible community response from our Tempe opening. People not just playing, but forming friendships and coming back day after day because padel brings them joy and balance in their busy lives. I didn't anticipate how quickly it would turn into these tight-knit groups. That genuine connection keeps me motivated, reminding me why I started this: to spread something simple and positive that makes life better.
